All About Education in Action:
OVERVIEW
Education in Action, known across campus as EIA, is an organization for all education majors here at Ball State University. EIA is an organization unlike any other on Ball State's campus.
PURPOSE
EIA has four main purposes:
1. To provide instructional and resource materials and ideas to all members
2. To promote unity in the Department of Elementary Education
3. To provide and discuss ideas for improvement in the field of teaching
4. To enrich the Department of Elementary Education and our curriculum
WHY JOIN?
Although this group is more focused towards Elementary Education majors, EIA is open to, and useful for ALL education majors. This organization gives students an opportunity to grow and learn in their various education majors. EIA provides information that may be difficult to find on Ball State's campus and/or anywhere else. With information ranging from what to expect in upper-level classes, different opportunities Ball State has to offer education majors, and what to expect as a first-year teacher, members learn information they need to succeed. Members also have the opportunity to listen to guest speakers, with topics ranging from professional development to resumes, attend special movie nights, participate in our popular Make 'N Take Nights, and serve the Muncie community through meaningful service events.
